These rules take effect upon promulgation. The library reserves the right of final interpretation.
To ensure the rational use and recycling of textbook resources, the following rules are established:
Article 1: Care for Textbooks and Avoid Damage in Any Form
Users must take good care of textbooks and keep them clean and intact. Writing, underlining, folding pages, tearing, or any other form of damage is strictly prohibited.
Upon borrowing, please inspect the textbook immediately for any existing damage, stains, or missing pages, and inform library staff promptly. If damage not reported at the time of borrowing is found upon return, the borrower will be held responsible.
In cases of severe damage or loss, the borrower must compensate for the textbook at its original price.
Article 2: On-Campus Use Only; External Lending Prohibited
Textbooks are only available for borrowing and use by faculty and students of the university and may not be lent to others.
Lending, renting, or providing textbooks to individuals outside the university in any form is strictly prohibited.
Article 3: Respect Intellectual Property and Use Legally
Users must strictly comply with intellectual property laws and regulations. Bulk copying or scanning of textbooks, uploading them to the internet, or using them for any commercial or illegal purposes is prohibited.
Article 4: Return on Time; Penalties for Late Returns
The borrowing period for textbooks is determined based on the teaching schedule, with specific dates notified by the Academic Affairs Office. Textbook borrowing cannot be renewed.
A late fee of RMB 2 per book per day will be charged for overdue returns.
If the accumulated late fee reaches RMB 20, the borrower's lending privileges will be automatically suspended. Privileges will be restored only after the textbook is returned and all fees are paid.
