Access Methods:

  1. On‑campus Access: All databases can be accessed on campus.

    • Wireless Network: Transitional campus: connect to EIAS or EIAS‑EDU; permanent campus: connect to EIT‑wireless or EIT‑GUEST.

    • Wired Network: Connect your device directly to an available wired network port.

  2. Off‑campus Access: Off-campus access to library databases is currently available through CARSI and VPN. The databases supported by each access method are listed below:

VPN Account: All faculty and students may access library databases through VPN by downloading the VPN client and logging in with their personal university unified authentication account and password. CARSI Access Guide

Access via CARSI/Shibboleth (Recommended method for off-campus database access)

Instructions:

  • Enter the database login page. The login option is usually located in the upper-right corner of the webpage and may appear as "Login" or "Sign In."

  • Select "Log in/Sign in by institution" or "Log in/Sign in via CARSI/Shibboleth."

  • Select the institutional group "China CERNET Federation" or choose "Log in via CARSI." Then select "Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo." For some databases, you may directly search for "Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo" to access the university's unified authentication system.

  • Log in using your university unified authentication (CAS) account and password.


Important Notice:Due to network conditions, database access may occasionally be unstable. If you encounter any access issues, please take a screenshot of the problem and contact the library for assistance.
